2021.09.19 11:05 KanonJellyfish AP Classes
hi im from south east asia trying to apply abroad for college. although not required, taking and submitting your AP test scores will boost my application. We dont have AP classes or AP tests here yet i heard you can take it even if youre not from america (i might research abt this soon) My question is, can i get at least a decent score in the tests without taking the classes? I have some classes right now (bio, calc, physics etc) which are required by the school. Are AP classes different than regular classes even tho they are the same subject? Any advice is appreciated!

2021.09.19 11:05 KatoG229 Recreated the M808 Scorpion in Sprocket
| Took me two hours to do this and make sure that it worked in game as well. Putting riveted plates in to make the angled turret is a bitch. Don't even get me started on the fucking trench tails on the turret. Final result is a 66ton (66.19 t, to be exact) behemoth with a top speed of ~20mph and a 90mm gun that can somewhat depress. I kinda had to break the game a bit to get the turret over .2m tall. With sprocket in pre-alpha, I can't do quad tracks just yet. More details/ utilities are due to be added to the game later this year.|

2021.09.19 11:05 Cat_fiend80 Experiences securing a lease transfer recently?
I'm curious to know how difficult (or otherwise) people have found it to find someone to take over their lease. I'm in the inner north and considering a move, but still have 6 months left on my lease. Has anyone here successfully transitioned out with minimal fuss in the current climate?

2021.09.19 11:05 pickledherringer Wildly anxious episodes
Hi everyone. 30 week ftp here. A bit of context: Yesterday was a little stressful as I was having frequent Braxton Hicks (BH) throughout the day. I read that frequent evenly timed BH is something to get checked out so I called my midwife and she reminded me that this is nothing to worry about and it’s just my uterus practicing. I went to bed feeling at ease about everything but I woke up in the middle of night with my heart pounding and so focused on fetal movement. Lying there for a while I couldn’t feel the baby move even after jiggling my belly a bit. This spiked my heart rate more and I felt like I was having an anxiety attack cause I was feeling shakey and overwhelmed. Then I went downstairs to get some cold apple juice. After drinking and lying down upstairs baby was moving fine.
I know I had a bit of a stressful/worrisome day but does anyone else have these moments of overwhelming anxiety? I feel I’m waking up more and more in the nights just to check fetal movement. I feel like I’m becoming obsessive with it and it’s triggering anxiety.
I am going to mention this to my midwife at my next appointment but just seeing if anyone has words of wisdom till then.

2021.09.19 11:05 cuttlefische I've decided to quit my favorite game until the next update - here's why.
So I have recently started playing a lot of Deep Rock Galactic. And I gotta say, as far as first person shooters and gaming communities go, it's genuinely a diamond in the rough. The game doesn't take itself seriously, the community is great and it's a blast to play with friends. Overall, I don't think the game is detrimental to my life. I have tons of other hobbies (music, cycling, a bit of writing, I'd even consider some school subjects a bit of a hobby). However, I'm also graduating this year. And this quartile is really important. Admission and recommendation letters, cramming extra knowledge from seminars, graduation projects (we have those at our school, very important), etc etc. I've also realized that this is the last year that I'll get to interact with the school's collective. And this is something I've only realised in the past year and a half - as far as school/dorm communities go, this one is actually pretty great! And I should enjoy it while it lasts. Thirdly, I've realised that if I don't want to burn out on my enjoyment of DRG, I shouldn't play every day. I've initially set myself a limit of one mission per day, and that worked for two weeks, but I've eventually broken that promise (I've even crossed it out in my personal notebook like a dork - MISSION FAILED!). And since the next big update is on the horizon but it also got delayed, the best course of action for me is to just stop playing the game and only return after the update. It gives me a reason to stop playing that isn't just purely negative ("DON'T PLAY THE GAME, IT'S BAD FOR YOU"), instead, it's more of a positive conservation of what makes the game special. I don't want to burn out, after all.
So yeah, I just wanted to share my thought process. I know a lot of people are dedicated to quitting gaming altogether, but I just don't think that's needed for me personally.
Lmk your thoughts.
