Does anyone know how it runs on series s? Heard that there were some performance issues on series x, but there is no mention of series s.
How is the resoluition in performance mode? Is it really blurry?

2021.10.25 18:03 peets_n_beans In-home healthcare question
My parents (father is from Sandefjord, mother is American) moved from the US to Norway a few years ago. My mother’s health has been rapidly declining and my father is her sole caretaker, which has been pretty mentally and physically draining (and he works a full time job). He’s a citizen but I’m not sure if she is.
My sister and I want to suggest that he starts having an in-home caregiver to stop by about once a week to check in on her. We know she’ll be very resistant to the idea, which is why we want to start now- if she’s able to find someone she likes and eventually accept their help, it’ll be a lot easier once she reaches the point where she needs full time round the clock care. We’re unsure if my dad will agree to start sooner rather than later because of the cost. My question is, does anyone know or have experience with how much it costs to have an in-home caregiver?
Thanks in advance!

2021.10.25 18:03 StevenMackie Are Buddhists The Nicest People On Earth?
I ask this question because I remember coming across this article about 10 years ago about this survey this American University did and they found that out of about 4000 people this French Buddhist Monk was the happiest person.
I've only met one or two lapsed Buddhists in my time who were nice enough but any time I've come across videos on Youtube of Buddhists talking about their faith they genuinely come off like some of the nicest people you could ever meet. There's just something about this inner peace they seem to have that I really admire.
I can tell they are genuine and they don't have an agenda. I had a bad experience with these people who are Bahais that tried to get me into their little cult. I found these people to be fake people pleasers who just pretend to be friendly in order to get people into their religion and to try and control people. Buddhists also don't come off very preachy or judgmental to me as well. Once you get around Bahais a little bit more they will attack gay people, use slurs on people with special needs, claim they aren't into politics but in reality are closet Marxists + Communists.

I’m currently in school and my lunch period is 7th, so I’m having a bit of trouble with getting through period 4, 5, and 6. Are there any foods I can eat for breakfast that will help? I’m lactose intolerant too.

2021.10.25 18:03 Extrahotsauce97 To the icu nurses: does it get better?
Does it get easier to get along with your co workers? Learn everything you need to do for icu care and what to anticipate? Will I learn that by the time I’m done orientation???
My co workers all expect a lot from me and I haven’t even hit my one year mark as a nurse and I feel so dumb next to them. Some of them barely let me do my own assessment or made side comments because I have a different brand stethoscope. I had side comments thrown at me for not being able to handle my first vented patient but they didn’t even give me icu level care patients till 6 weeks in and now expect me to know it all. My last job was unsafe but I didn’t feel this level of dumb. I feel like my brains on fire and everything I learned in med surg was a waste Idk if it’s I’m a type b nurse and all type b nurses work nights and I’m days. Or I’m just a shitty nurse.
Does any of it get better?

2021.10.25 18:03 Professional_Use6256 Advice Needed
Hi, Im using a new account to post (I've never posted before so bare with me)
Little background: I was diagnosed in Feb of this year after multiple hospital admissions (which I now know as flare ups and ruptured cysts). I am a nurse working in England. Last week I had a meeting with my manager due to having 3 episodes of sickness in one year - first being the surgery to diagnose, secondly an unrelated back injury and thirdly a flare up/?adhesion from the surgery.
I have recently been promoted and this new job requires more lone working. My manager had concerns as to how I would manage becoming ill when out working, and had concerns on the safety of my patients. I assured her I would manage this (I carry pain relief, TENS and a heat pack wherever I go) She made me feel as though I could not do my new job due to the diagnosis. My manager wanted to bring me and my condition up at a meeting where there would be 8+ other managers (not directly my managers) to discuss planning what would happen if I got ill on shift. My argument was this has only happened twice in 2 years, it is not something that happens frequently and I feel this is well managed since getting the diagnosis. To top it off, the second manager in the meeting suggested I ask my consultant to remove the problematic ovary (I'm 25 and have yet to start a family).
Has anybody else come across difficult situations like this? I'm upset and angry that my endometriosis has potentially to effect my career and progression. I'm umming and ahhing about getting my union involved as I know this isn't the way to treat these types of issues.
