2021.10.20 10:16 Other-Fly4079 Just a little more, reclaim #11 and hit $40, IBC
Things are looking good and green today,
- Wormhole went live 72 hours earlier than planned
- IBC coming tomorrow
- We're at $39,50 at the time of writing, almost back to $40!
- Only $100 million away from Uniswap and almost reclaimed our #11 spot on CoinMarketCap!
Now I just hope we can hold unto this momentum and keep going, hopefully to new all time highs.
Next stop: #10's Dogecoin. This will not be easy as even though the difference is only 1 spot, the difference in market cap is extremely high, 16 billion versus 32 billion, yes, that's double my friends.

2021.10.20 10:16 Shoddy17 Peace among the factions.
Boilerplate sorry for formatting since I'm on mobile.
I want to know your opinions. I am on a low population server. Our factions are super unbalanced, with Syndicate having the majority of players, Marauders coming up second and Covenant only having one company above 50. The ratio is somewhere around 6:3:1.
Last night, the leaders of the big companies got together and negotiated a peace deal. The big companies could have one territory each. Everyone agrees not to run PvP missions in those territories. and the two remaining territories would become war zones.
How would this happening in your own server affect your enjoyment of the game?

2021.10.20 10:16 stadinkundi Opening in a 16 team 9-cat full dynasty in its 4th year
We had one manager not return to manage their team from the offseason, so we're looking for a replacement manager. We're a 16 team 9-cat full dynasty league on Fantrax with 20 player rosters (16 regular spots, 2 IR and 2 minor league spots for 1st and 2nd year players), we have a Discord server, a draft lottery and we have weekly league update emails going over the happenings in our league. The season preview update is coming out today, so you'll be able to get that too if you join today!
This is the team you'd be taking over. The manager hasn't logged in since the draft, so their roster is over the roster limit, so your first order of bussiness would be to trim it down to the allowed 16+2+2. We always add 3 roster spots for the summer as a sort of summer league so that you can roster some long shots and see how they do, but the extra spots get removed just before the season starts.
Zion Williamson, Jimmy Butler, RJ Barrett, Michael Porter Jr, Mikal Bridges, James Wiseman, Jalen Suggs, James Bouknight, Tyler Herro, Mo Bamba, Blake Griffin, Jakob Poeltl, PJ Washington, Tyrese Maxey, Alex Caruso, Alex Len, Jalen Smith, Zach Collins, George Hill, Avery Bradley, Josh Jackson, DeMarcus Cousins and Raul Neto.
It's a free league in its 4th year, and the only thing we require is staying active, i.e. setting lineups and responding to trades. We're pretty quick to remove inactive managers to preserve the integrity of the league and to make sure everyone is having fun, as it's no fun playing in a league where managers are inactive. Usually the turnover has been about two managers per season, so not too bad.
If you're interested in taking over the team drop me a pm here and tell me a bit about yourself and your fantasy experience. Looking forward to having you in our league!

Nessari sat in a small office with her head in her hands. Ever since she was a hatchling, she’d dreamed of traveling the stars. Discovering new worlds. Meeting and befriending intelligent life. She never thought it would happen in her lifetime, but in a way her dreams had come true. Aliens had crash landed on Kavik. There was just one tiny issue.
They landed in the fucking Ackvist Empire.
Why? Whywhywhywhywhy? Of all the places on this planet, why did they have to land in the spirits-cursed Empire? If they had just crash landed a little more north-
"FUCK!" Nessari shot out of her chair, and paced around the room rubbing her face. She leaned her back against the wall and stared at the ceiling.
Tension between the Union and Empire had been slowly rising for decades, but it began to skyrocket over the past few days. The Union tracked the alien ship as it entered orbit. They tried to contact it, but never got a response. When it crashed they tried to get the Empire to let some of their people take a look at the ship. Of course, the Empire had refused. Shocker.
A few hours later, the Union was able to position a nearby observation satellite over the crash, and what they saw was the Empire shooting rockets at the ship.
They were fucking trying to blow up the damn ship.
That didn't go over well, and it took a lot of arm twisting to at least get them to stop doing that. There were even reports they had tanks on route to the crash. The Empire was crying that the aliens killed three of their people, and then locked themselves inside the ship. While sure, maybe the aliens were not friendly to begin with, no one was about to put much trust in the Empire's words.
The Empire said they were going to move the ship to one of their military bases, and allow the Union to send a diplomat to try to come up with some sort of compromise. The diplomat and ship arrived at the base, but the negotiation went about as well as everyone expected. The Empire did not let him see anything and then kicked him out, claiming he was being uncivil.
War already looked like an eventuality even before the aliens showed up, though a slim majority of the nations in the Union wanted to continue appeasing the Empire to keep the peace. That majority shifted after video of the facility's cameras and first contact got leaked.
The fuckers had already murdered one of the aliens and imprisoned another.
The Empire had conveniently left those details out of their story. The alien they killed did not even seem hostile. They had their hands up and were shot in the back as they tried to run into their ship. They also were not exactly treating their prisoner well.
The Union declared war soon after.
The Empire caused the deaths of millions of Sivlans, and the Union just sat on their hands. The Empire kills one alien, and it means war. Nessarri chuckled to herself at the absurdity of the whole situation.
Nessari whipped her head to the door. "Major, this is a bad plan."
"Follow me. We're pushing off soon." Major Bassim left the doorway and walked down the hall.
"Major Bassim!" Nessari ran after him. "There needs to be a better plan."
"I haven't even been assigned to a team yet! Why not send Alikai's team or Jolsek's?"
"They would not be able to get here in time. The Empire will have moved the aliens by then."
"Then why not just attack the base directly?"
“If we assault the base directly, the Empire would just kill the alien before we get to him. You are Sergeant in the Braves. You can handle this.” Bassim pushed through a set of doors leading to the airstrip outside.
“I’m not saying I won’t do it, just that we shouldn’t jump in like this.”
“If we don't act now, they will move the aliens deeper into their territory, and we won't see them until the end of the war. That will take years. This may be our only shot. You won't be doing the op completely alone either. My team will be dropped in to ambush the convoy that is currently en route to pick up the alien and the ship. They'll send reinforcements from the base, making your job a little easier.”
“Sir, that -”
Major Bassim finally stopped walking and turned to face Nessari. "Ness, listen, I am aware this is a bad plan. If it were up to me, I’d say fuck the aliens, and wait for a better opportunity, but it’s not up to me. If any Brave could do it, it’d be you. If these aliens just waited two more weeks to crash their ship on the Empire’s front lawn, you’d already be assigned to Alikai’s team."
“Yes, he asked for you himself.” Bassim continued down the airstrip. “Now load up. Our window for this is short.”
Nessari made her way to the top of a steep sand dune looking down over the oasis. The base sat in the middle of it, by the shore of one of the lakes. The large central building took up almost the whole base.
Nessari had to wait for Major Bassim to ambush the convoy. While the base was busy preparing to send a quick reaction force, she could approach the base, but she would need to move quickly. It was the dead of night, so unless they shone a light directly at her, she could approach unnoticed
The ambush would put the guards on edge, and they would most likely be expecting her. However, Nessari would rather have alert guards than have a convoy show up to pick up the alien while she was inside.
A far off explosion broke the silence of the night. Nessari crawled over the edge of the dune, and slid down it. She approached the edge of the oasis, casting a faint shadow in the dim light from the base. While the oasis wasn't lush, the few trees and bushes could help her remain concealed.
She kept an eye on the nearby watchtowers as she moved between the trees to the fence. The base certainly was not as quiet as it was when she was scouting it; shouting could be heard from within and, as she reached the fence, she heard a group of vehicles leave the base.
Nessari dropped prone and crawled into a patch of tall grass next to the fence. She stayed there while waiting for a patrol to pass by. When they turned a corner, she cut a hole just large enough for her to crawl through, and passed through. Once on the other side, she stood up, and dashed to the building.
Keeping to the shadows, Nessari crept along the wall of the building, looking for any way to get inside. The doors were locked via key card and the few open windows she had seen were out of reach. Eventually, she spotted an open window on the third floor next to a drainage pipe.
She slung her rifle onto her back, grabbed onto the pipe, and prepared to climb up. It was not particularly sturdy, but Nessari was smaller and lighter than most Sivlans, so she hoped it would hold. She began her ascent, and winced as the pipe creaked from her weight. The creaking continued as she climbed higher. As soon as she could, she grabbed onto the window sill and lifted herself up to peek inside. It was a bunk room, and it was empty. She pulled herself into the room.
The layout of the building was released along with the videos, so Nessari knew where the alien was being held. She would have to make it down one floor in order to reach him. She looked over to a vent along the wall. While Nessari was short, she knew she would be unable to fit in those tiny things. The stairs would be her only way down.
She heard voices in the hallway outside. There was nowhere to hide in this room, so Nessari drew her rifle, crouched behind one of the beds, and aimed at the door. The sound got louder until it sounded like they were right outside, but then got quieter as the noise continued traveling down the hallway. Nessari let out a sigh of relief, and made her way to the door.
She carefully opened the door and looked down the hall. It was now empty and she did not see any cameras. There was a staircase not too far from where she was, so she exited the room and crept down the hall.
She avoided areas that had cameras and kept away from where she heard guards. She turned the corner to the hallway with the staircase, and could see the door at the end of the hall. She silently proceeded down the hall, but halfway to the door she heard movement behind her. The footsteps were getting closer
She would not be able to make it to the end of the hall in time. Her only choice was to try to duck into one of the nearby rooms, and wait for whoever was behind her to pass.
Nessari darted over to a nearby door, and reached out to grab the handle. As she was about to grab it, the door opened.
She was now face to face with a guard.
The guard went to yell, but Nessari wrapped her hand around his maw and kept his jaw shut. She dropped her rifle, pulled out her knife, and stabbed it up inder the guard's jaw. The guard's eyes widened in shock before his body went limp.
Nessari turned to where she heard the footsteps. She pulled her knife from the guard's head, and let his body drop to the floor just as the other guard turned the corner and saw her. Nessari flipped her knife and held it by its blade.
"What th-. HEY-"
Nessari's knife embedded in the guard's head. They fell backwards, but as their body hit the ground, their finger pulled on the trigger of their gun, discharging a burst of bullets.
She stood there frozen for a moment, listening for any sound. After a few more seconds alarms started blaring across the base.
Nessari picked up her rifle, and turned to run to the staircase. Gunfire soon could be heard throughout the building. Before she could even wonder why, two turrets descend from the ceiling further down the hall. She halted and fired at one, disabling it, but stopped as she turned to the other.
It wasn't shooting.
There were screams and gunfire echoing through the halls. Nessari stood there aiming at the turret, but it just stared back at her. She slowly moved forward towards the staircase door, keeping her gun trained on the turret. The turret tracked her all the way to the door. Nessari opened it, and entered the empty stairwell. She took a moment to think.
"What the fuck is going on?" she mumbled to herself. She guessed that it was the turrets fighting the guards, but that still didn't make any sense.
She decided to worry about the 'why' and 'how' later. She still had to complete her mission. The alarm just meant she had to move faster, before they could do anything to the alien. She ran down the stairs and pushed open the door to the second floor.
Two bodies lay in the middle of the hall riddled with bullet wounds.. Nessari looked up to see that she was looking down the barrel of another turret. Her body tensed, but the turret never fired, its camera making a quiet buzz as it refocused on her. She took a deep breath and continued down the hall. If the turrets weren’t going to shoot her, she would just have to hope it stayed that way and ignore them. No matter how uneasy they made her feel.
She charged through a door leading to another hall, and found two guards crouched over a fallen comrade. Nessari shot and killed them both before they could even react. She hopped over their bodies and continued to her target.
Those were the only living guards she came across. The rest littered the halls, shredded by their own turrets. Anytime she entered a hallway with one, it tracked her until she was out of sight. Nessari turned the corner to where the alien's cell was located.
"Oh no." The cell door was open and dead guards were lying in the middle of the hall. Nessari radioed the Major. "Major Bassim, this is Bekleel. Do you copy?"
The major's voice came over the radio, faint gunfire could be heard in the background. "Send it, Sergeant."
"The alien's gone." Nessari stared at the cell door.
"The alien is gone." She enunciated, approaching a dead guard. "Alarm sounded, and the facility's turrets turned against the guards. When I reached the cell, the door was open."
The radio was silent for a while. Nessari knelt down to get a better look at the body. It did not have bullet holes like the others. Instead, there was a stab wound straight through their chest. Their sidearm was also missing. Another body was slumped against the wall, a large crack in the wall’s concrete was above them, at head level. She looked into the cell and saw two more bodies lying in a pool of blood.
Finally, Bassim responded, "Alright Bekleel, I'm leaving this up to you. Extract or find the alien. Choice is yours. Either way, I better see you back at base. I'm pulling my team out. Radio when you need evac."
"Yes sir." Nessari looked down the hall and saw another body. One bullet wound to the head. She thought for a moment on what to do. "Mission isn’t done. I'm going after the alien."
"Alright then. Good luck. Bassim out."
Nessari stood up, and ran down the hall, following the trail of bodies.

I'm looking for something that will make me bawl my eyes out. Doesn't matter if it's in a sad, happy or angry way. I would like to get some recommendations on works that really moved you in some way or another.
I haven't read loads of comics but most of the ones I have read haven't moved me much. I would say Superman For All Seasons has been the closest.
Would love to hear any and all recommendations!
